This breed is a great child's pet, and a wonderful family companion. Hardy and maintenance free, healthy and athletic, some think this is the perfect pet!! Cairns are small, yet sturdy . Average size is 11-15 pounds. Strong muscular body, yet very compact. Easy handling for child or adult. Colors are varied, any shade from creamy wheaten to black brindle.

Very Communicative, gets attention by making you notice him…FUN!! Great with kids of all ages, and gets along well with other pets; early socialization with cats.
