This is a wonderful  happy  inquisitive breed--its athletic ability is excellent--and makes a great companion for hiking,  Frisbee, fly ball, or just playing in the yard.

Easily trained and fun-loving, it never loses its “puppy” enthusiasm, or willingness to play.  Excellent family pet;  great with kids, and very highly compatible with other pets.   

One of its best assets is its grooming requirement--or LACK of it!!    The coat grows slowly, and only needs seasonal attention.  Coat is non-shedding, and low dander producing, which makes it an excellent choice for allergic or sensitive people.  Brushing weekly and a monthly bath will be all the maintenance this breed requires.  

The Irish Terrier’s eagerness to please, and its very sweet disposition, make this an excellent choice for families who want a mid-size dog (32-35 pounds) and medium level of activity. The Irish Terrier will bark a bit to communicate to you, but is NOT an overly vocal dog.
